It's Autumn Time!!!

As the leaves begin to fall we all know it's time for the winter coats to make an appearance, and say goodbye to our summer wardrobe. With a few cheeky purchases here and there you can start to create the perfect winter collection.
I've noticed a quirky mix of pretty pinks and dark grunge is a great look this autumn. With last years popular Chelsea boots being upgraded to suede wedges and the typical parka changing to the classic wool coat we can stay ahead of the fashion this A/W 2014.
My makeup bag has recently gained the new Naked 3 palette which is incredible to achieve a warm, yet smokey eye look that can be worn both natural and for occasion.
Whilst funky gifts like the 'I woke up like this' mug are filling the shelves in Urban Outfitters. So don't hesitate to drop and get some great gift ideas for friends and family. However you have to pay that little extra as most items are quite pricey.
Finally, these cold nights mean one thing. It's now acceptable to cosy up with a hot chocolate, candles and watch Netflix all night. Also you can spice up your room with seasonal Yankee Candles, soft blankets and cushions and finally some fairy lights to create a cute den perfect for hibernation this winter.

My Summer Beauty Essentials

I thought I would share my favorite beauty products from this summer. I have recently experimented and changed a few products and brands that I would normally use and have managed to find amazing yet cheap products that I think are definitely worth a purchase.

I'm going to start with my new mascara which is called "Miss Manga" by L'Oreal. It's extremely unique and I doubt anyone has seen a mascara quite like it because it has a bendy brush which shows it can work your lashes at all angles and provides both your top and lower lashes with maximum volume. I do have high expectations with mascaras as I can be rather snobby with brands etc. However I found this product was just as good as the Benefit mascara which is known for being No.1 best mascara. However sorry to put a downer on things but my "Miss Manga" ran out extremely fast and completely dried up after a month of purchasing it. But with it being so dirt cheap(£8.99 from Boots) I'm sure stocking up or nipping to the shop once a month isn't the end of the world because I know we all want perfect lashes.

Now moving onto the best part I'm going to reveal my new amazing purchases from the one and only Rimmel. I have to say I am slightly addicted to the Rimmel shelf in Boots and always end up buying something as evidently realising my makeup bag is packed with the brand. But my new regime consists of using the "Techniques" brush to apply Rimmel "Wake Me Up Foundation". And then using a foam pad I apply the "Stay Matte Powder" which has been an absolute life saver this summer. I don't particularly suffer from bad skin but when the sun is out everyone turns a little greasy and shiny, especially on our t zone so I found applying the powder on my forehead, nose and chin was a great way to stop my skin from looking super shiny. And then finally I evenly apply the Rimmel "Natural Bronzer" on top to allow my skin to look glowing and it also includes SPF15 which is great on hot and sunny days.

And last but not least is the Rimmel "Moisture Renew Lipstick" (in the shade 'As you want Victoria'). I was bought this as a gift from my friend and when I first tried it it was slightly shocking because the bright pinky/purpley shade is very bold. However I found lightly dabbing it on and then applying a pink lip gloss over it really evened it out and made it look more natural and took away the harshness of the look. But I also found it matches my olive skin tone nicely and makes my lips look bigger.

Thanks for reading and hopefully you will feel the same way about these great products. Don't be afraid to let me know of any products you love at the moment or let me know what you think of the purchases.

My June Favorites

Hello everyone,
Thought I would let you all know about my favorite purchases from June. This includes clothes, makeup and of course food. From what I can remember June has been pretty glorious with the occasional scorching day to get us into the summer spirit. However time flies when your having fun, and in my eyes June only lasted two seconds. So lets get started with my fave clothing item of the month...

Fashion

Topshop Skorts
I bought these lime-a-licious beauties at the start of June, but unfortunately haven't had the chance to wear them yet. They are from Topshop and retail at £38. Yes I know they are pretty expensive for a pair of skorts/shorts, however the quality is fantastic. Also skorts are the hottest trend at the moment so everyone needs to get a pair, you can't beat Topshops unique design. They're perfect for dressy occasions in the summer and you don't need to feel insecure like when wearing a skirt because skorts don't blow up on windy days.

Makeup
Urban Decay, Naked Basics
Now lets get started on the makeup girls. There are not enough words to describe the Naked Basics palette to you, but let me just say perfection. Every girl (and boy if you want) NEEDS this in their makeup bag. For the price of £22 it is such a bargain because it lasts, I use mine every single day without fail and it allows everyone to feel like professional makeup artists due to the effect you can create with enough practice.
This is the perfect buy for when you need a smokey eye look because the colours are so matte and blend perfectly together.
My fave colours have to be W.O.S and Faint just because they create such a faint smokey look that I think is perfect for everyday. However just with a hint of Crave (Black) it transforms your look into evening, perfect for a night out. And finally its the perfect size for your handbag or travelling. The only thing it lacks is shimmer so I will soon be investing in the large palette that holds many more shades.

Food & Drink

McDonald's Fruit Smoothies
Saved the best topic till last. Yes here are my favorite snacks and drinks at the moment. Firstly, I absolutely love McDonalds smoothies this summer and think they are simply perfect. They're pretty cheap as far as smoothies go because places like Boost are a rip off and have to be avoided if you want to save your money. And they're also super refreshing for hot, sunny days when you need to cool down. They come in a variety of flavors and are perfect to take with you whilst your on the move (I usually have one on the bus to keep me nice and cool). I recommend you get down to Maccy D's and check them out and try all the flavors.

Costa's Chocolate Tiffin
And here is the most beautiful tasting cake you can ever dream of. I'm not afraid to say I am a chocoholic and I'm addicted to these tiffin cakes. It's a smallish chocolate triangle that has biscuit and raisins (I usually class this as one of my five a day haha) inside it. Some of my friends think it's slightly sickly so can't eat it all at once. But mine is gone within one minute:)
So go to your local Costa and try out the tiffin. If your not a chocolate lover then try any cake as they're all scrumptious.

I'm afraid that's all I have to share with you guys today but keep an eye out for my next post as I'm getting some ideas. Don't be afraid to comment sharing with me what you want me to blog about next.
Hope your feeling inspired and ready to try all my recommendations :)

Thanks xoxo
